Terms & Conditions
These terms govern ticket purchases, festival entry, and your experience at WOMADelaide. By continuing with your booking, and entering the festival, you accept these terms. Tickets are non-refundable except as required by law, in accordance with Live Performance Australia Ticketing code of practice.
Conditions of Entry
For the comfort and safety of all patrons, the following Conditions of Entry apply to all persons entering WOMADelaide. Patrons who do not comply will not be permitted entry.
Wristbands must be attached to your wrist prior to entering the gate and worn for the duration of your ticket. WOMADelaide reserves the right to deny admission to any person whose wristband has been removed, tampered with, counterfeited or duplicated. Tickets that have been purchased or obtained through illegal means will be refused entry to the event and PROVIDED to SA Police.
The event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
The event organiser reserves the right to change the line-up, program, and/or playing schedule without notice.
Patrons are prohibited from bringing glass, high-back chairs, large and oversized umbrellas, animals (except registered assistance and companion animals), alcohol, liquids, illegal substances, fireworks, knives, weapons, professional cameras (anything with a detachable lens), and tents.
Audio or visual recordings of the event and performers for commercial use are prohibited. Professional cameras (anything with a detachable lens), including drones, cannot enter without written consent from WOMADelaide management.
Upon entry, ticket holders’ property will be searched for the above prohibited items by security. Prohibited items will be confiscated. These items will not be returned, replaced or reimbursed and may be passed onto SA Police.
It is a condition of the liquor licence for the event that after midnight all people under the age of 18 are in the supervision of an adult.
No unauthorised performances, busking, protesting, fundraising or flyering are allowed on the festival site. Protesters with materials around the entrances are not permitted.
Flags, banners or signs of an unauthorised promotional, commercial, political, religious or offensive nature are not permitted.
A person must not, while within the site, obstruct or interfere with the conduct of WOMADelaide or the reasonable enjoyment of the festival by the patrons and participating artists in attendance.
Approved WOMADelaide authorised persons reserve the right to refuse admission or eject from the site any person behaving in a threatening or inappropriate manner. There will be no refund on any unused portion of tickets if you or your guest are of necessity asked by Event Security or management to leave, or if you decide not to attend any part of the event.
Only low ‘beach chairs’ are permitted on site and are to be used at the outer edges of the playing arenas. Standard-height chairs will be confiscated at the gates unless a pre-approved exemption has been authorised. Exemption letters can be provided pre-festival by contacting tickets@womadelaide.com.au either at the time of purchasing your ticket or any time prior to the festival. For ease of entry, it is recommended to arrange this before the festival begins. However, if patrons have not, we ask you to speak directly to our box office staff located at both entrances, to obtain an exemption.
Tents designed for camping are not permitted on site. Only pop-up sunshades can be used and must be erected to not block pathways or views of the stages for other patrons.
No belongings, including sunshades, chairs and blankets, can be left in the park overnight. All items brought in each day MUST be taken home with you when you leave each evening. Any items left in the park overnight will be removed and donated to charity or disposed of. This is a requirement of the agreement for the use of Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla, to ensure a safe environment and as courtesy to fellow festivalgoers.
WOMADelaide takes no responsibility for lost property.
Any non-biodegradable packaging brought to site must be taken home at the end of each day.
Tree climbing and damage to the park is not permitted, as part of the festival’s agreement for use of Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla.
Strobe and haze effects may be used in performances and MCs will notify patrons before the show with a warning.
Patrons entering this site expressly consent to the recording and use of their image and/or voice (“Likeness”) for the purposes of worldwide commercial exploitation of their Likeness by WOMADelaide Foundation or any entity authorised by WOMADelaide Foundation, in any form. WOMADelaide may decide to approve use without any payment or compensation to the patron. The recording of the patron’s Likeness may be undertaken using a variety of methods, including by television cameras, videography and photography.
WOMADelaide is a smoke-free event. Festival goers wishing to smoke or vape can only do so in designated smoking areas marked on the festival map.
WOMADelaide does not offer a ticket resale facility. Tickets purchased via unauthorised third-party sellers may not be valid, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.

Purchases can be made online, or during the event (unless sold out prior). WOMADelaide is cashless. We only accept VISA, Mastercard and debit cards.
Advertised ticket prices are in $AUD and includes GST where applicable. Advertised prices do not include postage or administration fees.
Administration Fees
There is a per-ticket administration fee. The fee covers costs associated with end-to-end service delivery for the venue and partners, which includes the system the ticket is bought through, as well as customer service and staffing at the event. Refer to our tickets page for further information.
Postage Fees
A postage fee is automatically applied for all orders delivered to an Australian address for wristbands purchased between August and early March. After this time, wristbands will be available for collection at the box offices located at the festival. For further information relating to postage fees please refer to the tickets page.
Wristband Delivery Terms
We can only post within Australia. If you reside overseas, you can collect your wristband from the Box Office at either the Hackney Road or Frome Road entrances during the festival.
Wristbands purchased via unauthorised third-party sellers may not be valid. The wristband may be cancelled without a refund and the person may be refused admission.
Wristbands lost in the post or forgotten can be replaced at the festival box offices when proof of purchase and valid ID is shown. A replacement fee may be charged.
Refunds, Exchanges & Onselling
Tickets are non-refundable except as required by law, in accordance with Live Performance Australia’s Code of Practice for Event Ticketing.
Refunds will not be given for the following reasons: failure to attend the event, change of mind, everyday circumstances, changes to the line-up/program, artist cancellations, inclement/severe weather (this is an all-weather event), refused entry or eviction from the event, event dissatisfaction.
If you can no longer attend, we suggest you gift your ticket to someone known to you and provide them with the original order number and order confirmation email so they are able to seek our assistance at the Box Office if necessary. WOMADelaide does not offer a ticket resale facility.
In the unlikely case that WOMADelaide is cancelled, rescheduled and/or relocated, the full value of the ticket will be refunded to the original ticket purchaser.
Tickets can be exchanged for different days or upgraded to more days, and are valued at the time of the exchange or upgrade. For example, if a ticket is originally purchased during the first release and then an upgrade or exchange is requested during the second release, the cost will be based on second release pricing. WOMADelaide does not downgrade tickets for any reason.
Feedback & Complaints
WOMADelaide is committed to having an environment where feedback and complaints are welcomed. For details, please email info@womadelaide.com.au.
