Before you start your adventure, here is some useful information to keep in mind.

Wristbands
If you have not yet received your wristband(s) in the post OR are collecting from the onsite Box Offices, bring your order number and photo ID. Box offices are located at both entrances to the Festival.
Remember all children aged 3-12 years are required to wear a wristband. Please add a contact number for the responsible parent/carer to be written on children's wristbands.
If you have not booked your children's tickets they can be purchased at the gate.

Friday: 4pm
Saturday: 11am
Sunday: 11am
Monday: 11am
Entry to the festival is via two gates. Frome Road (opposite Victoria Drive) and Hackney Road (at Plane Tree Drive). Find Botanic Park / Tainmuntilla on Google Maps HERE.
Please have your wristbands applied and ready well in advance to avoid congestion at the gates.
Stay Sun Smart
Check the map for free water stations located around the park.
Bring your own refillable water bottle! Swing by Miss Isla for free water infusions. Tap water is one of the best choices you can make for your health, the environment and your wallet.
Find the Sunscreen Station in front of the on site pharmacy near the Info Booth.
Slip on some protective clothing. Slop on SPF50+ sunscreen. Slap on a hat. Seek shade. Slide on some sunglasses.
Please take your belongings home
As a requirement of our agreement for the use of Botanic Park / Tainmuntilla across the 4 days and as courtesy and the safety and security of all your fellow festivalgoers, we ask you take your belongings with you each night. Any possessions left unattended overnight will necessarily be removed and subsequently donated directly to local charities.
Thousands of people attend the festival each day and it's an on-the-move crowd, so please understand that you can’t "reserve a spot”.
Access
We've teamed up with Access2Arts to provide a comprehensive Access Guide, which highlights how to prepare for WOMADelaide, getting to and from the event, getting around the site, and the facilities and spaces on site.
Please note, some artists will be using strobe or haze effects, please listen to the MCs before each performance begins to be advised of any effects in use. You can view the full list of artists using these effects on the Access Page.
What to bring
The Essentials:
- Your wristband! (or your booking reference number/confirmation email)
- Valid photo ID
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Medication (especially for asthma, allergies or hayfever as the park can get dusty at times)
- Clothes to suit the weather / rain poncho
- Reusable water bottle
Recommended:
- Portable phone charger
- Sturdy shoes
- Friends
- Sunnies
Don't bring:
- Glass
- High back chairs, large & oversized umbrellas
- Animals (except registered assistance and companion animals)
- Alcohol
- Illegal substances
- Professional cameras (anything with a detachable lens)
- Drones
- Tents
Car parking / getting here
Parking is limited! There is no parking available on site and little in adjacent residential streets, so we recommend you carpool and park 'n' walk from the city (5-10 mins walk), or ride a bike and park at our bike parking near each entrance, or share a cab/Uber with friends.
To help event goers get to and from festivals in Adelaide, the ADLOOP CBD tram loop service will be operating for the duration of the festival season. Additional O-Bahn services will run to and from the city each weekend at a higher frequency, and a dedicated bus shuttle will also operate during WOMADelaide 2025. Find out more.

We are cashless
Please come prepared. All WOMADelaide bars, stalls and box offices are cashless, accepting only card payment.
First aid tents
Should you need assistance, there are three First Aid Tents at WOMADelaide:
Between the Foundation Stage and Stage 2.
Next to Botanic Gin Bar in the Hackney Stalls area.
Indoors, next to The Studio.
A pharmacy is located between the Foundation Stage and Stage 2, next to First Aid. Pharmacists are available to assist with any health needs.
Care for the park and each other with courtesy and kindness
Please don’t climb, hang on to, or damage any of the trees or plants in Botanic Park.
Parents / guardians please ensure that children in your care are aware of this restriction.
Any person behaving in an inappropriate manner (aggressive, riotous, abusive, or insulting actions) towards other patrons or staff will not be tolerated. If someone is behaving inappropriately, please talk to the closest security guard, staff member or volunteer.
Smoke free
In keeping with the South Australian Government health regulations, WOMADelaide is a smoke-free event. Festival goers wishing to smoke or vape can only do so in designated smoking areas marked on the festival map and listed on the app.
Please return your cup
All cups are washed on-site and re-used at the festival. Place used cups in the blue ‘Cup Return Bins’ anywhere at the festival. Can’t find a blue bin? You can return cups at all bars and exits too.
